A Writing Program is Born: RAGE
As many of you know we think our writers and our readers are the greatest. Every single one of you is amazing. We have had the pleasure of working with so many incredible individuals from all around the world. Some have shared once with us, others have shared multiple times over a longer period of time. Many of you have even taken what you've learned here and are doing incredible work within your own communities. We are constantly inspired by you all, and wanted to provide you tools and resources to use as you branch out and start these difficult conversations within your communities. As many of you know, we have been developing a writing program to do just that.
After much thought and deliberation, we realized that we wanted to focus on a highly stigmatized topic within our communities: RAGE. Not only did we want to discuss rage from where it stems from, identifying it, and expressing it; we also wanted to discuss Autonomy and Growth. The more we thought about it, the more we realized that all this could be achieved through Empowered Self-Actualization. We are incredibly excited to go on this journey with you all. We have an amazing lineup for facilitators, and can not wait for you all to meet them. Since this is a four-month program, we want to ensure that everyone who is a part of it is committed to their journeys and is willing to invest in this time-intensive program. Please share this with anyone you feel would be interested and/or would benefit from it. Fill out the form below by September 1st. Also, please keep in mind that space is incredibly limited, so please apply as early as possible.
Since this is a Writing Program, our team will support your growth and your writing through peer mentorship and publishing some of your work.
This program was heavily inspired by the work of the incredible of WOC who have done incredible work for centuries around self-actualization. A special thank you goes out to Dr. Maha Hilal for her help in supporting the creation of this curriculum. Since this program was heavily influenced by Women, we felt it necessary to have Women lead the majority of the session.
Again, thank you all for your continued support. We could not do this without you. Also, thanks to the Life in My Days board for all their hard work to help develop this program and launching it.
