Roles and Responsibilities

Individuals that are on the forefronts of changing the Systems of Oppression all around us are asked to do a lot. Everyday, we are asked to justify our oppression, the existence of these systems, to convince everyone of their existence, and to dismantle them, all on our own, or with those that we have enlightened to seeing these systems. 

These demands are unfair, especially considering that because we live in a White Supremacist, Patriarchal, Imperialistic, and Classist Society, many of us are not taken seriously, and are asked to prove ourselves over and over again. 

But just because society demands something, does not mean we should give into its demands, we are fighting systems of oppression after all.
